Thanks Again Canada! A Manure Composting Calculator

I found a great calculator this morning for determining the amount of carbon source material and water needed to create a good compost mix.   The results are calculated based on the ideal C:N Ratio (Carbon, Nitrogen Ratio) of 30:1 (30 parts carbon to 1 part nitrogen).  Most of the time no water needs to be added, but it’s nice to know the N content of the compost mix based on different inputs.

We’re speaking at PSU on January 25th

noon on a Wednesday. Room 296 in the Smith Memorial Student Union (near SW Broadway and SW Harrison). We will speak about the recent history of urban sanitation, and the dual crisises of resource management and aging infrastructure driving the development and deployment of alternatives.  The talk will focus on case studies of alternative systems in the US, China, Germany, Sweden, and Yemen.
